Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for an advanced Quality Engineer to support delivering on customer expectations.  You will join our Spool Valves Solutions team within the Controls Division and be based out of our headquarters in Nordborg, Denmark.

The Spool Valve Solutions business unit develops, manufactures, and sells hydraulic and electrohydraulic proportional valves, including embedded software for machines within the agricultural, construction and materials handling market segments. As the globally leading provider of these products, we are constantly at the forefront of continuous development, also in quality.

 

Job Responsibilities

The Advanced Quality Engineer is responsible for improving product quality, New product development process efficiency, and reducing operating costs by reducing variation in the inputs to manufacturing and other business operations. The Quality Engineer will ensure customer satisfaction by improving products and processes through failure mode effects analysis, as well as correction of product failures which occur in the field and process failures which occur in-house. 

Furthermore, other responsibilities are:

  • Facilitate quality aspect in New Product Development.
  • Support in New Product/Process Development projects ensuring that quality risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Competence assessment of project members on project systems and tools and ensure required training.
  • Develop Basic and Advanced training material on core tools for functional areas (FMEA, CP, MSA, SPS, PPAP, 8D). Set up training plan and support internal training activities. 
  • Assisting Customer claim handling as required.
  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions resulting from non-conformities. Review and analyze non-conformity data. Identify high risk area to significantly improve product/process quality performance.
  • Assisting in PPAP execution as required.
  • Perform internal audits – System and Manufacturing Process Audits (MPA) according to ISO 9001:2015, and IATF 16949.

Background & Skills

  • A bachelor´s or master’s degree in engineering or other relevant technical education.
  • Minimum 5years solid hands-on experience working with quality after graduation.
  • Excellent team spirit and team player including great communication, coordination, and cooperation skills across functions/borders and cultures at all levels. 
  • Advanced knowledge in IATF core tools – both theory and in practical use.
  • Excellent problem-solving – DMAIC, 8D including use of statistical data.
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced Danish and English – both verbally and in writing.

Lastly, being a self-driven, honest, trustworthy and reliable role model is key.
