Job Description

Danfoss Group Tax is establishing a brand-new global tax team to support our growth – join us in building the new team in different locations across the globe and ensuring that we deliver on all aspects within the tax area from day one!

In a couple of months, Danfoss is expected to close the acquisition deal with Eaton Hydraulics and will integrate with this successful business, resulting in significant growth.

In Group Tax we are preparing ourselves for the integrations and are setting up a new global team, who will be responsible for all tax aspects in an area of the Danfoss Power Solutions Segment. We are looking for experienced and professional colleagues to join us on this exciting journey.

The initial 16 colleagues in the team will form a matrix and report into Group Tax. They will be  responsible to be ready from day 1 to provide tax advice, including supporting in relation to business integration, as well as securing tax compliance, dealing with tax authorities, etc.

Job Responsibilities

As an Indirect Tax Analyst, you will obtain in-depth knowledge about the operations of a global organization and build a close relationship with the various business units of the Danfoss Group.

 

Your key tasks will be to:  

  •  Support a newly hired Senior Advisor with day-to advice to colleagues in European entities and a Turkish entity of a recently acquired business area
  • Be close to and participate in the monthly filings – thereby having hands-on in the daily tasks
  • Assist the input VAT refund process related to the entity in Turkey
  • Perform control tasks independently, as well as monitoring and follow-up on activities related to indirect tax reporting for entities in Europe and Turkey
  • Take part in ‘Tax Governance’ cooperation with the Danish tax authorities and be the connection point towards our internal finance teams in Denmark
  • Assist in the “roll-in” of One ERP (SAP S/4 HANA) in relation to indirect tax related processes for the recently acquired business area for Europe and Turkey
  • Support local colleagues in the entities in Europe and Turkey when there are audits by external auditors or tax authorities

 

This position is based out of either Nordborg or Copenhagen. Travel should be expected within Europe and to Turkey, as a part of the job.

Your reference will be to the Global Head of Indirect Taxes.

Background & Skills

To be considered for this position, you must have an academic degree combined with at least 2-3 years of experience from an international manufacturing company (in-house tax department, a Shared Service Center or a Center of Excellence) or an international tax firm specifically advising on indirect taxes and related processes.

Furthermore, you need to:

  • Have strong analytical skills
  • Be a team-player, who is goal-oriented and demonstrates a high level of commitment with the ability to work in teams but also independently and self-reliant
  • Have experience or interest in ERP-systems (SAP) set-up in relation to indirect taxes including the mapping of transaction flows
  • Have knowledge on accounting processes
  • Be able to comprehend an end-2-end process, and thereby be able to be a business partner for colleagues in sales, purchasing and logistics
  • Be able to work in a dynamic team and interact efficiently and remotely with Group Tax colleagues and business partners

 

On a personal level, you have a positive attitude and strong people skills. You are structured, pro-active, and operational and have good understanding of end-to-end processes. You have good presentation skills and set an example for excellent team behavior. Since, we work across cultures and geography in a global matrix organization, it is a necessity that you have good cultural understanding and master English, both written and spoken. Other languages, whilst helpful are not required.
