The role

At Danfoss we are looking for a Category Manager within Facility Management. Job responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be all areas of facility management, but with a amplified focus on utilities. You will also be the main driver in the roll-out, development and maintenance of our global and regional concepts within the consolidation of our supplier base. 


This includes 

  • Actively scoping and leading contract negotiations, also large investment projects.
  • Communicating and cooperating with our suppliers and stakeholders. 
  • Development and implementation of category strategies.
  • Identifying saving opportunities and leading regular supplier review meetings.
  • Driving productivity and cost down initiatives cross-functionally, so a holistic business understanding is an advantage.
     

Background & Skills

  • A commercial degree or an engineering background at bachelor’s or master’s level topped with solid commercial understanding and an interest in the technical aspect of the categories.
  • Relevant indirect procurement category management experience from an international production organization. 
  • The ability to digest complex settings, but simultaneously having direct collaboration and dialogs with numerous stakeholders.
  • A technical angle and understanding in combination with a numerical mindset, but indeed also a visible and proven project management approach is key.
  • A persistent, result- orientated and cross-functional approach.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and motivation to lead global as well as regional negotiations with our suppliers and stakeholders. 
  • Fluent English language skills: Danish and/or German are beneficial.
     

Having profound interpersonal and communication skills is a must, as well as proven stakeholder and change management skills. You also work effectively with all levels of the organisation, individually, in groups and across cultures and sharing knowledge amongst your colleagues, is second nature to you.
