Job description
Danfoss Editron is looking for a Manufacturing IT Engineer with solid IT competencies and experience within Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Manufacturing systems in general. We are assembling a highly skilled and dynamic team to setup and run a world class factory for electrification products in Nordborg. Here, we will be producing new electrification products for a major manufacturer of large vehicles that represents a very important future business for Danfoss. Danfoss Editron develops and manufactures hybrid and electric powertrain systems for the marine, on- and off-highway, and renewables markets based on the unique synchronous reluctance assisted permanent magnet (SRPM) technology. 


In this role you will conduct all Manufacturing IT activities within the factory and be responsible for manufacturing applications and systems, e.g. MES. Further responsibilities and tasks in this role include: 

  • Implementing IT solutions for a world class manufacturing setup
  • Integrating relevant IT structures supporting Industry 4.0 and relevant IoT solutions
  • Maintaining and operating manufacturing IT application systems to provide stable and reliable productions and resolving manufacturing system related issues
  • Providing expertise and application management including administering, monitoring, developing, installing, configuring upgrading and maintaining manufacturing applications to keep them in a usable state and to ensure that they are correct, consistent and available at all required times
  • Be process owner of the HMI interface at workplaces including setup and programming of workstation GUI’s (e.g. Ignition, GOL) and be responsible the EOL test setup including CANBUS (CANj1939), High Voltage testing, Insulation testing, protective bonding and AC/DC test 
  • Providing support and development of manufacturing services to enable stable operation and ensure that the application interfaces support production processes 
  • Be a key technical resource for projects delivering new or upgraded services

The position is located in Nordborg (DK) and you must be located in the area or willing to relocate in order to be close to the factory.


Background and skills

To be considered for this role, you should hold a BSc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus have at least 5 years of experience from a similar position within Production IT (Databases & HW) and be familiar with a MES platform, SAP, SQL and preferable TeamCenter. Furthermore, you must have good skills in applications management, delivery and support. In addition, the qualified candidate will:

  • Be experienced with product testing strategies
  • Be experienced within High Voltage and/or inverter/converter products
  • Have a structured way of working and analytical capacity
  • Possess good communication skills as well as the ability to work well in teams
  • Be fluent in English and Danish - written and spoken
