Job Description

Danfoss Climate Solutions R&D and Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in Nordborg. You will join a team of 8 professional colleagues and report directly to Engineering Director. 

As our new Mechanical Design Engineer, you are going to maintain robust product design for commercial valves for refrigeration and air conditioning systems while continuously improving quality and reducing cost. To be successful in the job it is important that you keep promised deadlines; you implement and use simulation, and use ADM. 

Flexibility in working days on site/ homeworking is a possibility and can be discussed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional team in design change activities arising from continuous improvements of quality and cost
  • Design and implement customer specific adaptations
  • Cooperate in Agile teams with co-located cross functional team members 
  • Drive engineering effort in quality issues affecting customers and/or manufacturing
  • Adapt products to Mega Trends, like circular economy, recycling products rather than scrapping
  • Address issues arising from design or bill of materials mistakes
  • Focus on being customer centric
  • Participate actively in quality improvement activities
  • Coordinate changes with our factory in China and Mexico

Background & Skills

To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering, or mechatronic, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills. We expect that you: 

  • Have 2+ years’ experience with design of mechanical products
  • Have a solid experience with design of mechanical products and experience with 3D CAD.
  • Have experience with Simulation in Ansys Aim
  • Speak and write fluent English, Danish language skill is beneficial 
  • Are a good team player
  • Have good communication and networking skills
  • Are driven, persistence and have a quality mind-set
