HPP is looking to strengthen our Innovation Head Quarter in Nordborg with and highly skilled and experienced design engineer. Job Responsibilities

If you take the challenge as our new Senior Design Engineer / Technical Lead your focus is to lead the design and development of new water hydraulic products, in particular the next generation of axial piston pumps. You will be given the opportunity to lead, from a technical perspective, a group of people to deliver both new products as well as new technologies for future products.

 

We have strategies within all our technology development areas to support a digital journey that will deliver radical and profound new opportunities to accelerate innovation and bring Danfoss values to our customers.

 

As a Senior Design Engineer / Technical Lead in HPP you will be involved in the entire value chain within Product Development. This includes conceptual work, draft of possible design solutions to improve fluid dynamics, structural integrity, product functionality, design for manufacturing etc.

 

Your key responsibilities will be:

 

  • Creating new feature concepts, utilizing simulations insights and product understanding, to deliver new innovative products and technologies.
  • Take the technical lead in projects, ensuring that we continuously strive to push the boundaries of our product performance
  • Create parametrized designs and models to enable CFD/FEM optimization routines and machine learning to deliver superior solutions
  • Develop product test and validation methodologies and review experimental test results to finetune and calibrate models to ensure maximum alignment between the virtual and real world

We expect you to be self-driven and take ownership of your assignments. You are open minded with a positive team player attitude and a cross functional mindset.

 

Furthermore:

  • Master’s or PhD degree in engineering or natural sciences
  • Experienced Technical Leader, who understands how to motivate people
  • Comfortable with creating and owning a design that needs to continuously change and improve as new knowledge is gained by the team.
  • Experienced with 3D design and 2D drawings, preferably using Siemens NX
  • Experienced with design of highly loaded mechanical parts, preferably in the field of fluid power machines/hydraulics.
  • Capable of interpreting FEM results and using them to improve mechanical robustness.
  • Good understanding of general machining processes and related design for manufacturing of components.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
