Danfoss is looking for an innovative Mechanical Engineer with a passion for mechanics to join our R&D team in Danfoss Sensing Solutions.

Danfoss Sensing Solutions offer an extensive portfolio of advanced sensors that improves energy efficiency, reliable control, and safety of demanding and critical equipment within off-highway machinery, refrigeration, air conditioning, and renewable energy. Our primary R&D department and labs are at our Danfoss A/S headquarters in Nordborg, Denmark, which is the primary work location for this role. For the right candidate, we can offer office location at one of our other Danfoss locations in Kolding (DK), Minden (DE), or Hamburg (DE).

Job Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Mechanical design of sensors for various harsh industrial applications, from concept to product release 
  • Utilizing agile methods to translate customer needs into detailed product specifications
  • Design for high-volume assembly with focus on cost, performance, and reliability
  • Advanced concept development based on FEA simulation and rapid prototyping

Background & Skills

You have substantial relevant experience and a proven track record of mechanical design of industrial products – preferably sensors manufactured in high volume. We expect that you hold a relevant Master’s degree or similar in mechanical engineering. You take responsibility for the designs and are motivated by delivering solid, high-quality results according to plan. You will benefit from a strong network of contacts within Danfoss as well as external contact with suppliers and customers.
