Job Description

Danfoss looking for a skilled Software Test Developer to join our agile Software Testing team in Nordborg, Denmark.

 

We use modern technologies like Azure DevOps, Phyton, React.js, Linux and various 3rd party services to develop software for Danfoss' cooling products.

 

You will join our global development team with members in Denmark, India, US and Italy. We collaborate virtually as a DevOps team daily, but you can also expect moderate travel as we meet physically a few times throughout the year.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Software Test Developer, you will play an important role in one of our agile software development teams. You will be designing, executing and maintaining automated product tests, test systems and test related firmware features to verify high quality of our embedded software and ensure that features work as intended throughout development and product lifetime. You will be working in dynamic feature teams with state-of-the-art test equipment and development setups to ensure that we cover the wide range of interesting customer applications supported by our products.

Furthermore, You Will Be

 

  • Developing and maintaining features and automated verification test programs for testing software functionality as part of verification and validation
  • Driving software feature testing covering planning, implementation and execution
  • Maintaining automated tests and test environments to support Continuous Integration and Deployment
  • Analyzing regression test runs and evaluating results together with the development team
  • Developing tools and practices to be re-used across our wide product portfolio

Background & Skills

 

To be successful in this position, we expect you to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree relating to software development/testing combined with strong analytical and technical skills.

Furthermore, it is preferred that you have experience in the following:

 

  • Programming in C/C++ for test related features in firmware and Python (Robot test framework) for implementation of tests
  • Software tools such as GIT, Azure DevOps, Robot Test Framework
  • Scrum and agile development
  • Embedded SW or HW related software development and testing and are able to work with electrical hardware, schematics and test equipment


 

It is helpful if you have experience in the following:
 

  • Hardware in the Loop (Typhoon HIL), prototypes, and released products on real hardware
  • ISTQB or related certification/knowledge, development of test strategies and test architecture, design of processes, selection of tools, etc.

You possess a holistic overview and even under pressure, you still manage to work on several fronts in a persistent and goal-oriented manner. You are open-minded, a good team-player and you enjoy cooperating across borders and cultures. Furthermore, you communicate well in both written and spoken English.
