Job Description

Danfoss Climate Solutions is looking for a Sustainability Lead to join our R&DE team in the Refrigeration & A/C Controls (RAC) division. We are on a transformational journey when it comes to ESG, and have a broad portfolio of mechanical and electronic valves and controllers that are key to energy efficient cooling solutions.

 

We aim high to continue our efforts on sustainability by significantly reducing the CO2 footprint of our existing product portfolio – and for that we are looking for a Sustainability Lead to facilitate the transition within decarbonization and circularity. As Sustainability Lead, you will be part of our RAC’s global R&DE organization, reporting to Senior Director of Engineering.

Job Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to lead the green transition on our existing product portfolio, in close collaboration with our global experts on Sustainability and Circularity. This involves:

 

  • Coordinate life cycle assessments of existing product portfolio to establish a baseline for CO2 footprint
  • Facilitate CO2 reduction workshops and projects to reduce our footprint on a global scale
  • Strengthen the circularity mindset in Innovations and New Product Developments, by integrating key milestones and design considerations in the development process 

 

Through your interaction with the cross functional organization in Refrigeration & A/C Controls, you will be a key driver of a sustainable mindset.

You have the ability to engage, inspire and influence a wide range of stakeholders by your positive and focused approach and communication. You have an interest in gaining insights into customer needs and to understand how to create great customer experiences with our offering to the market. 


You define yourself as an individual with high motivation for obtaining results and for solving complex issues in a time-sensitive setting. You need to thrive working in an international flexible environment with different cultures, mindsets and backgrounds. 

 

Moreover, the right candidate has:

  • A relevant degree within Engineering or another relevant field combined with a good technical understanding
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience defining and guiding sustainability & ESG projects
  • Enthusiasm about sustainability and a great interest in contributing to the sustainability agenda
  • Good analyzing skills, a systematic approach, and an open mindset
  • Communicate effortlessly in English in writing and verbal
