Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Global SIOP Manager, to be located in Oragadam Campus, India who will be responsible to lead Global SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) process for the business unit to optimize the value chain relationships within company businesses to deliver value and provide transparency to the organization on constraints and opportunities. Will be part of high performing Global Supply Chain team, within Danfoss Cooling segment supporting the System solutions and new business models.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the business SIOP cycle including running of pre SIOP and monthly Executive SIOP meetings. Oversight of all medium to long term planning systems
  • Research business issues to identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities that need to be raised to the SIOP community
  • Support monthly demand forecast aggregation, including consensus between functions and stakeholders
  • Lead capacity planning process to align and balance supply with demand to provide input for labour and equipment requirements for mid-term and long-term planning.
  • Manage stakeholders and account for agreed actions as identified via SIOP
  • Establish seamless internal relationships across functions viz Sales and Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure transparency through value chain for optimal business results.
  • Support New Product Development with strong ramp up/down plan
  • Set inventory targets for business unit with global supply chain, monitor and control
  • Monitor delivery service level and provide root cause analysis
  • Develop and implement Customer Centric Supply Chain (SIOP) strategy
  • Leverage industry best practices and continuous improvement to continually enhance the SIOP process.
  • Coordinate with other SIOP managers across segment and share best practices and adapt techniques that improve SIOP process
  • Patriciate in projects related to Logistics network optimization, flow and routing and study effect on stocking or no stocking decisions and subsequent impact on SIOP.
  • Inventory management tasks related to Safety stock review, replenishment methods & slow mover management.
  • Overlook CMO (Contract Mfg.) activities from material planning prospective
  • Coordinate allocation management among regions during unexpected demand increase or during constraints in supply chain.
Background & Skills
  • Master’s degree in Commerce/Business Administration or similar with 10-12 years of experience in Supply Chain planning, inventory management and logistics execution with exposure in industrial background
  • Adapt to matrix organization structure and coordinate with various function and people globally across different time zones with different cultural background.
  • Ability to understand the wholistic picture – Business segments, product & marketing strategies, importance of planning in supply chain as a success criterion for business unit.
  • Ability to work on large and complex data sets, analyse and interpreted data for supply chain decision making.
  • Ability to independently manage the demand & supply planning activity with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent English oral and writing skills and able to communicate across all levels of organization.
  • Strong in Analytical & Presentation skills
  • Proficient knowledge on MS Office tools, SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP APO, SAB BW
  • Experience on any Demand/Supply planning tools such as (I2, Anaplan etc)
