Job Description

Danfoss is looking for an Operations manager who will be responsible for managing the operations of Global Competency Services.

You will be an Operations Manager to join our leadership team who will be in charge of managing the operation of different lines of business which performs various analytics , reporting, performance management and data management activities and facilitate leadership team in driving Key strategies and objectives of the department

You will be part of the Global Service Center organization and will report to Head – Global Competency Services and support global organization across time zones. We offer you a platform to utilize your strong leadership skills, Team, and stake holder management, show case analytical abilities, data interpretation skills and provide insightful information to the leadership team to take right decisions and develop appropriate departmental strategies

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  1. “Quality” and “On-time” delivery of the processes delivered by your team – Hands on experience on Quality concepts would be added advantage
  2. Managing his/her team to deliver effective services to stake holders.
  3. Engage with stake holders and work towards enhancement of current process scope or bring in more new tasks/activities to the department
  4. Drive the Monthly KPI reporting, responsible for accurate data gathering and reporting and pro-active communications to stake holders in case of exigencies
  5. In charge of Management reporting across Product lines and Business units delivered by the team
  6. Increasing productivity by mentoring the team in developing automated applications; eliminating duplications and NVAs; coordinating information requirements. 
  7. Drive new process transitions smoothly by using structured approach and methodologies
  8. Provide inspired leadership for the organization.
  9. Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  10. Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions and motivate team members by using right quotient of R&R
  11. Responsible for the development of timely, accurate, concise, and actionable reporting for senior leadership team
  12. Drive the operations in line with agreed budgets and ensure revenue recognition promptly
  13. Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees
  14. Seeks continuous improvement in the financial processes delivered by the team to include enhanced, standardized reporting, automation of processes, and enhancement of business cases. 

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  1. BCom /MCom /MBA, any degree related to Finance with 10-14 years of experience 
  2. Should have exposure in MS Office tools, VBA Macro, Power BI 
  3. Leadership /Team handling experience – Direct and Indirect reports (Minimum 6 years)
  4. Detail orientated and passion for quality of data
  5. Conflict Management; Decision Making; Critical thinking; Influencing & Leading; Delegation; Adaptability
  6. Strong in stake holder management – Experience in handling Global Stake holders is a must
  7. Ability to understand and interpret financial data and well versed with accounting concepts and financial processes
  8. Should be able to “Question data” and bring in more analysis in work 
  9. Should possess hands on work experience in reporting, analytics, and data management
  10. Strong Business Partnering; Very energetic and should possess excellent communication skill 
  11. Self-motivator, Perseverance, Quickness and Flexibility
  12. Disciplined approach to work. Sticks to process and procedures always and “Lead by Example”
