Job Description

Danfoss is offering you an exciting career opportunity as Simulation Software Specialist.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Develop and maintain high Automation skills to speed up simulation for Innovation, Development and Value Engineering
  • Responsible for automating simulations for Danfoss products satisfying the expected speed and accuracy needs
  • Support to ensure that Danfoss simulation tools and processes are state of the art and pushing boundaries of what we can do today
  • Develop software tools and applications to democratize simulation inside RAC RD&E 
  • Enable intuitive usage by developing new frontends
  • Create the frontend design by your own to enable a great user experience
  • Analyse various simulation methods regarding their optimization and automation potential including data management
  • Provide automation recommendations based on requested simulation activities and tools
  • Support the developed software tools
  • Be responsible for software projects in an agile environment
  • Document best practices in scripting and programming
  • Support simulation activities including design and testing of virtual experiments as well as verification and validation

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar education with a technical background 
  • Min 6 years’ experience in programming in a Product Development or Scientific Environment
  • Proven experience in frontend development in different languages, like JavaScript, CSS, HTML and React
  • Competencies and experience in Software Engineering, Software architectures, databases
  • Proven experience in Python, Matlab, XML ideally also SQL and MQL
  • Proven experience in using one of the version control software SVN or GIT and the Azure DevOps
  • Preferably experience with FMUs according to FMI (not Mandatory)
  • Preferably experience in thermal management (not Mandatory)
  • Willingness to develop our competences further and extend your knowledge in other areas
  • Preferably experience using Ansys tools and Dymola (not Mandatory)
  • Fluent in technical and business English
