Job Description

Danfoss is leading manufacturer of electronic controllers in Refrigeration and control segment. An Electronic R&D facility is being setup in Chennai covering the areas of software applications, firmware, electronic hardware, mechanical and validation so as to facilitate end to end electronic product development. The product and projects portfolio will be as per global requirements of the company.

The position requires a high caliber Software Engineer for PC Application development

Job Responsibilities

  • To actively take part in deriving key Software requirements – functional & non-functional. 
  • Develop modularity and reuse in design.
  • Implement and follow the best design, coding, quality & release practices across team.
  • Work seamlessly with Design and Architecture team to implement highly scalable systems.
  • Responsible for Coding, Unit testing, and peer reviews.
  • Adapt Software development Process and ensure on-time high quality delivery.
  • Contribute on technical and process aspects as part of continuous improvement
  • Understanding the Software requirements and high level design thoroughly.
  • Execute high level design into detail design and coding.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive Unit testing
  • Involve and support in Developer Integration Testing.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of detailed design.
  • Adherence to design excellence

Background & Skills

  • BE/B.Tech in CS, ECE or MCA
  • Between 3 to 5 years in Software Application development using C#, WPF,XAML
  • Expert in Good knowledge of C #, XAML
  • Familiarity with Windows Presentation Framework.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, MVC, MVVM and SOLID Principles.
  • Knack for writing clean, readable C# code and writing reusable C# libraries
  • Expert in working with data formats like XML, JSON.
  • Experience with multi-threaded constructs.
  • Strong knowledge in serial-port programming and communicating with external devices using Modbus, CANBUS communication protocols
  • Proficient with coding guidelines for highly efficient programming and knowledge of design patterns and OO design.
  • Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds.
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (IBM Rational tools, VSTS/TFS, Jira, SCM tools likes SVN, GIT).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum and DevOps.
