Job Description

Danfoss is looking for a Technical Specialist (Drives R&D) within Power Electronics team of Variable Frequency Drives and Harmonics Solutions that would be required to support the power Electronics team in all technical deliveries of Product development .

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for technical deliveries of all tasks within Power & Control Electronics line
Guide and support the team
Technical review and validation of Power & Control electronics design by design engineers
Technical training for developing competencies. In short, make the team members competent for their deliveries to the product development
Technical interface outside the Product Development, like – Customer, Sales, SC and others
Participate in seminars, workshops as participant and presenter
Explore new technologies for future products.
Keep well informed on new developments in the research and design engineering fields through contacts with educational institutions, professional societies and organizations, and through the use of technical papers, journals, and periodicals

Background & Skills

Master’s degree in Electronics. Power Electronics is preferred.
Preference will be given to candidates pursuing PhD
Minimum 12 -15 years of broad engineering experience within Power Electronics
Some experience of control electronics design
Participated in NPD projects in compliance with established Stage- Gate Processes
Experience from working in international companies in Europe or the US, ideally with 2-3 years stay abroad
Strong individual business focused person with excellent communication and leadership skills
Creates result thru own professional expertise and less thru leading people
Delivers results thru others

Preferred requirements

AC high power drives (megawatts / low voltage) or inverter R&D or application experience will be plus.

Desirable:

Experience working in Agile project execution
