Job Description
Danfoss Power Solutions (DPS) is looking for a Distribution Sr. Account Manager to join our growing team in the US.
The Sr. Account Manager – Distribution Sales Team – North American Pacific Northwest Region – will assist, encourage and drive DPS Distribution Sales Channels for profitable growth, by striking the right balance between developing and implementing clear business goals & strategies, while continuing to develop strong relationships with our Sales Partners! This position would primarily support the Southern California territory.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Identify, develop and win business in the assigned territory and meet sales and pipeline development goals.
- Develop Distributor Partner and indirect customer relationships and act as primary field sales representative for Danfoss Power Solutions, servicing specific accounts and/or a designed geographical area.
- Communicate the voice of the customer by sharing current and future market needs with the organization.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer’s structure, products, industry needs, and decision-making processes.
- Ensure that Danfoss provides “Unique Customer Experience” by orchestrating all Danfoss relations and contacts to the customer, while leveraging the organization.
- Proactively identify customer needs, and develop solutions utilizing the DPS product and service portfolio, to be presented to customers, in coordination with Distributor Partners.
- Contribute to the Danfoss Sales Team by generating ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement.
Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business/Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in Hydraulics and/or Electronics Industry sales, or similar technical sales industry.
• Experience effectively working with a CRM; SalesForce experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, with a high energy level and a desire to achieve goals beyond what is required.
• Business acumen around sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning.
• Ability to utilize a professional sales process to uncover customer needs, handle objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions, while claiming the DPS value, for profitable growth.
