Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a ​Sr. Engineer - NVH and Vibration Analysis ​to join us at our diverse team. The employee will be part of the Modelling and Simulation Team at DIIC R&D and Engineering organization in Danfoss Power Solutions and will report to M&S COE Leader – Magarpatta, India. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting modelling and simulation activities for various applications, development of robust component level as well as system level models to help design team build robust products. The role will carry out structural simulation activities in the Noise-Vibration-Harshness domain for wide range of Danfoss products.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Interpret, summarize, and communicate FE analysis results to global audience and provide technical and/or design recommendations in the field of Vibration analysis and Multibody Dynamic Analysis
  • Lead Vibrational Analysis activities by working hands on projects that need Acoustic/Noise support, develop and mature DP capabilities in this domain
  • Mathematical modelling of Electromechanical hydraulics systems by understanding applications and relevant physics for hydraulics systems
  • Verification and validation of models w.r.t to measurements. Liaison with the test lab to validate DP prediction and suggest test procedures including measurement systems
  • Lead technical discussions working with design teams as well as comprehensive report writing of the results and finding.
  • Collaboration across simulation specialists across the organization
  • Participate and contribute to Root Cause Analysis
  • Work as a Sr member of the team to review technical aspect of the project including timelines, maturity, and mentoring resources

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Masters or similar education in Mechanical Engineering with a simulation background.
  • Understanding of basics of hydraulics systems and physics associated with it minimum work-experience of 4 Years.
  • Hands on experience in vibration analysis, PCB vibrations and MBD analysis of large systems
  • Experience in resonance predictions, harmonic vibration, random vibrations, and shock load analysis
  • Drop test simulation experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of basics of vibrations attenuation, should have understanding of vibrational fundamentals with working knowledge around stress and strain based failure predictions and methods.
  • Hands on experience on ANSYS/ABAQUS/ADAMS etc.
  • Fluent and comprehensive English skills – written and spoken
