Job Description

Would You like to become a part of a truly logistics global professional team, hence covering different transport logistics assignments. Your task will vary, which therefore require a significant ability to embrace ambiguity and be agile and ready for changes. We are working to improve and optimize agreements with Danfoss suppliers on transportation and warehousing, ensuring an optimized and high performing supply Chain.

The team do also define their own tasks, which needs optimization, hence it ais also crucial that you are able to set a direction and scope in terms of changes together with the team. Identifying which of the already define tasks needs to be changes or optimized. Having an eye for identifying new assignments supporting this with a proactive self-driven approach is important. 

Working and being comfortable in an international environment with global footprint, you work with different cultures most of the time, it would be a prerequisite for being successful in this position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be a strong partner internal and external with strong foundation in professional SC and transportation skills. 
  • At all times secure that Danfoss has the most optimal freight setup in regards of reliability and cost from a TCO perspective
  • Develop and implement KPI/PI to support the shipping and freight key data - cost and on-time performance, root cause analysis
  • Lead or participate in local and global projects to fulfill needs from Danfoss.
  • Establish close cooperation with Procurement, Segments, Regions to secure the right supplier base and to develop each supplier. Focus on cooperation with the factories to understand the operations and from that secure the right solutions with the suppliers. 
  • Have a close cooperation with the suppliers, work with continues improvements, processes optimization, develop business tools, etc. Close cooperation will bring short lead-times, high reliability, and the best total cost.
  • Secure the latest insights to your areas of responsibility  and share it with collages. This improves Danfoss' competitiveness. 

Background & Skills

You have a documented long experience working within transportation and logistics. In that setup experience from an international environment working with larger projects will surely be advantageous.
You have daily worked with TCO projects and are able to analyze transportation flows to optimize cost or lead-time. 

Having profound interpersonal and communication skills is a must, as well as proven stakeholder management skills. You also work effectively with all levels of the organisation, individually, in groups and across cultures.

Being an excellent facilitator both virtually and face to face, forming a mutual trust is important, hence being able to build partner relationship in a global context. Finally having a proactive out-of-the box thinking with the will to challenge and question the status-quo and being skilled in Microsoft Office, as well as fluency English.
