Job Description

 

In Danfoss Power Solutions we are looking for a Manufacturing Controller to be located in our Queretaro PMC plant.

 

In this position you will be responsible for cost control in the FA/plant through preparation and control of monthly reporting and forecasting processes, together with the yearly budget process. Contributing to creation and  fulfilment of plant strategy road map. Advisor to FA/Plant leadership and all levels below.  Partner to related FA/BU and division controllers and company finance functions. 

 

You will also work closely with operations team as well as being in contact with all parts of the organization, such as supply chain leaders, global services and similar functions. 
 

Job Responsibilities

 

Your job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform costs analysis and follow-up on all costs categories  (variable costs, OVC, FE etc)  on monthly and ad hoc basis
  • Check deviations between planned and actual costs and  make proposals to minimize them
  • Perform analysis and follow-up on sales and profitability on monthly and ad hoc basis 
  • Present financial performance results and policies to Management in order to take appropriate business decisions.
  • Working with the different departments  on improving results, understanding gaps and  helping to close gaps.
  • Provide financial information needed to differents departments for analyses.
  • Preparation of monthly plant forecast, including deviation analysis to budget and previous forecast
  • Payback calculation of  projects as required
  • Timely and accurate preparation of financial management reporting for the  FA/plant 
  • Identifying and communicating risks and opportunities to Management Team resulting from analysis. Make proposal for correction and improvements. 
  • Assisting and advising on new processes and procedures
  • Responsible for the coordination and preparation of the annual budget ensuring total plant budget meets targets provided by FA/BU Controller/Leadership
  • Assisting project leaders in preparation of new AFE's, PDP & DCF models, localizations and follow-up
  • Facilitate yearly costing run and secure organisational involvement in validation of standards, incl.monthly material ledger 
  • Transfer price calculation, mark up calculation, split EBIT% to licence & contract manufacturer 
  • Assist all levels in organisation with financial questions on a day-to-day basis

Background & Skills

 

The ideal candidate possesses these competences and skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance or similar. Any other certification in finance and accounting will be highly valued.
  • 1- 2 years of experience in similar position within manufacturing company
  • Accounting background
  • Communicate clearly in both written and spoken English. 
  • Have experience with ERP system and excellent skills in Excel
  • Are experienced in day-to-day finance operations, analysis and reporting
  • Are an individual with interest and capability to quickly acquire and apply new knowledge
  • Have a passion for details and an ability to explain these details to others in a constructive dialogue
  • Drive and persistence
