Job Description

The Danfoss Power Solutions Master Scheduler will be responsible for planning and scheduling related to Danfoss Hydraulics business, and will support the coordination of customer orders, manufacturing and delivery schedules, service issues and other customer concerns.  The Master Scheduler coordinates with the manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, customer service, and sales teams to schedule work orders and provide post order support to customers. 

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Plan complex product families requiring a high degree of customer focus and interaction with all levels of the business.
  • Verify orders are properly scheduled and released in our MRP/ERP systems, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain the data integrity of the master schedule.
  • Manage material flow through analysis of diverse reports and perform critical analysis to avoid operation disruptions caused by material availability or constraints.
  • Establish and maintain a Master Production Schedule for finished goods families and/or sub-assemblies within a defined horizon.
  • Provide timely communication to both internal and external customers related to order status, including advance warnings of shipping delays, shipment confirmations and rescheduling notices.
  • Provide supplier forecasting information from SIOP forecast where required.
  • Adhere to Danfoss standard process and divisional operating procedures; work closely with centralized purchasing and fulfillment teams as needed.
  • Analyze and prepare reports on established KPIs.
  • Work with Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager to improve overall plant metrics.
  • Support plant lean, safety, quality, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, or Logistics.
  • MRP systems knowledge (Mfg/Pro preferred)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • APICS certification
  • Practical understanding of SIOP driven Materials Management including forecasting, scheduling, capacity analysis and inventory management. 

 

Job Criteria:

  • Strong analytical and cognitive skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building and teamwork skills
