Job Description

Danfoss Drives is looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist. In this position, digitalization plays a vital role and we are constantly aiming for sharing the technical product information to our customers faster, easier, and more relevant.

 

You will be located in our Tampere, Finland office and will be working in a global team with members in Denmark, Finland, China and the US. 

 

This position requires travelling on a limited basis. This ranges from local same-day travel to our Finland sites to annual travel to Denmark or other international locations.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Documentation Specialist colleague, you research, write, compile, edit and revise various technical documents using our topic-based DITA XML-CMS (Content Management System). Documents provide information and guidance in selection, installation, commissioning, programming, operation, and after-sales service of Danfoss Drives products. Furthermore, your key tasks and areas of responsibility will be: 

 

  • The design, delivery, and maintenance of technical communications using common Danfoss methods, styles and procedures in compliance with corporate guidelines 
  • Developing schedules, plans and programs to support product and service launches
  • Writing in clear and concise language suitable for translation and worldwide publication
  • Working with our English technical terminology  
  • Supporting the document review, approval and release process and the translation process
  • Working closely with Danfoss Drives developers and Product Management in Finland, Denmark, Germany, US, India and China

Background & Skills

To be successful in this position, we expect you to have at least Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Communications or equivalent, combined with relevant 1-3 years of experience in documenting high-tech product lines in English. You have excellent English communication skills, both in writing and verbally. Finnish language is considered as a strong asset. You have expert knowledge of documentation software (XML, CMS, technical illustrations, etc.) and experience with communicating features of complex products to various audiences. We also hope that you have at least a basic understanding of electrical industry products. 

 

Additionally, you are a proven team player and self-motivated. You possess excellent planning skills and the ability to manage projects in a time-sensitive environment. The content you produce is clear, concise, accurate and project a professional company image to customers.
