Job Description
Senior accountant responsible for statutory accounting, financial close and reporting processes with Group and local policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for proper and compliant accounting.
- Ensure compliance in line with Corporate requirements/SOPs, local GAAP accounting & direct tax requirements. Understand the current and new legislation, follow and implement accounting and tax regulatory changes.
- Close cooperation with internal and external audits.
- Drive the standardization and harmonization initiatives.
- Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
- Preparing financial analyses and reports.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
- Support in performing controlling activities, like factory controlling, costing of materials.
- Analysis and sign-off various closing task. E.g. revaluation of inventory, obsolescence, accruals for production, Purchase price variance controlling, production order variances etc.
Background & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Bachelor degree in accounting/finance related is required.
- Good knowledge of IFRS accounting and good knowledge on taxation.
- Very good written and spoken business level in English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, positive attitude and customer focus.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Ability to work in changing environment and openly share ideas with others to improve the processes.
- Eye for accuracy, flexible attitude, self-motivated, well organized, independent.
- Willing to learn and develop yourself on the job.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Good knowledge of SAGA system.
- Good knowledge of local finace standard and tax legistlation.
- Experience in production company.
- Good Excel knowledge.
