Job Description
Danfoss is looking for a Production Operator who is interested in working in a state-of-the-art power module production at our Utica location. This candidate will perform manual duties to process and complete product by operating equipment to solder print, die bond, x-ray, wash, wire bond, gel fill, assemble and test power modules. Work is performed under close supervision with guided and ongoing training. This employee is expected to rotate among all stations within each assembly cell performing repetitive work at a consistent pace to meet customer demands.
The hours for this position are every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday 5:45 am - 6:15 pm.

Job Responsibilities
- Observe all safety and security requirements
- Must be willing to work days or night shifts as assigned.
- Operate machines and/or other equipment for product processing, which may include the following; solder print, die bond, x-ray, wash, wire bond, gel fill, assembly and testing
- Follow written procedures and work instructions
- Read and interpret drawings, diagrams with assistance, as needed
- Uphold the standards necessary to maintain our business certifications and to maintain good quality standards and practices associated with them
- Sustain a steady work pace and follow a schedule
- Work with support tools, such as mics, gauges and or unique testing equipment
- Interact with the “cell expert”
- Produce quality product with minimal waste
- Attend training as needed or assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
Background & Skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) OR 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Basic organizational skills
- Basic computer literacy
