Job Description
In this position you will perform all necessary task required to trouble shoot, repair and maintain both simple and complex production equipment. Assist in the development of PM Procedures and preform those tasks as scheduled. Performing equipment moves and the installation of utilities for such scheduled events. Must be proficient in all basic industrial maintenance skills, Electrical, Mechanical and Hydraulics. Starting pay range $27 to $33 dollars per hour depending on documented experience and or training
Job Responsibilities
- Ability to read and understand electrical, hydraulic and mechanical blue prints, job instructions and precision measurement tools.
- Maintain flexibility to be able to move from work area to work area in order to meet the delivery expectations of the customers and the productivity goals for the plant. Able to work efficiently to establish standards without constant supervision.
- Promotes cooperation and "team oriented" work environment at all times under the direction of the leadership team.
- Creates/maintains a safe work environment and practices safety for himself and others at all times and attends appropriate training seminars.
- Must maintain a clean and well-organized work environment and support our 5S program.
- Proficient with powered handtools, welding, cutting, and grinding necessary to make repairs.
- Works in a team environment with Coworkers, Production and Engineering employees in problem solving.
- Works with Tool room and production to build and modify machine parts as needed with and without prints
- Maintains the maintenance shop, facility, equipment, and tooling in an organized safe and clean condition reflecting plant 5S values.
- Work with maintenance lead and production leaders to establish task selection and priority
- Work safely at all times and attend appropriate safety training seminars
Background & Skills
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum of four years’ experience of documented industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to communicate verbally and understand written instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematics
- Understands and can explain the 8 types of Waste and 10 Lean Principles
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Additional Requirements and Skills:
- One year experience utilizing and understanding Total Productive MFG. (TPM) philosophy
- Must have basic computer skills (Word-Excel-Notepad) to operate software utilized for our maintenance management (Mainsaver)
- Attendance, rarely absent or late, pre-schedules and pre-approves absences
- Safety: Follows safety & housekeeping standards and procedures, uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), looks after the safety of others.
