Job Description

 

The Business Unit Senior Financial Analyst will be required to present accurate financial results, maintain adequate internal controls, and drive results within the plant.  The candidate will be responsible for all financial and reporting duties required by the business unit at the site.  A successful candidate will be able to analyze financial information, communicate results, and provide actions for improvement to senior leadership teams.

Job Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Partner to related BU and division controllers and company finance functions.
  • Perform cost analysis and follow-up on all cost categories (variable costs, OVC, FE etc.) on monthly and ad hoc basis.
  • Check deviations between planned and actual costs and make proposals to minimize them.
  • Perform analysis and follow-up on sales and profitability on monthly and ad hoc basis.
  • Present financial performance results and policies to Management to take appropriate business decisions.
  • Working with the different departments on improving results, understanding gaps and helping to close gaps.
  • Provide financial information needed for different departments for analyses.
  • Ensure all accruals are revalued as necessary.
  • Preparation of monthly plant forecast, including deviation analysis to budget and previous forecast.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of financial management reporting for the plant (including KPI reporting analyses, trends).
  • Identifying and communicating risks and opportunities to Management Team resulting from analysis. Make proposal for correction and improvements. 
  • Assisting and advising on new processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for the coordination and preparation of the annual budget ensuring total plant budget meets targets provided by BU Controller/Leadership.
  • Assisting project leaders in preparation of new DCF models, localizations and follow-up.
  • Training of organization at all levels within the plant.
  • Facilitate yearly costing run and secure organizational involvement in validation of standards, including monthly material ledger.

Background & Skills

 

Required (basic) qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance/accounting or similar is mandatory; any other certification in finance and accounting will be highly valued
  • 3+ years’ experience in controlling or finance in an international manufacturing company   
  • Able to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future         

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certifications in finance and accounting will be highly valued

 

Job Criteria:

  • High level of proficiency in IT tools (e.g. Microsoft Office - especially Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Interact with sensitivity in a cross-cultural environment
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
