Job Description
The Training Coordinator conducts training needs assessments and will identify and monitor training needs in the organization, along with designing, planning, and implementing training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Reviews existing training programs, suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of employees, the organization, and/or the industry.
- Plans, organizes, and effectively conducts employee training on various skill, policy, and compliance areas.
- Oversees the daily activities of training associates.
- Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
- Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
- Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
- Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
- Facilitates delivery of training by reserving and setting up needed audiovisual equipment and training rooms; scheduling training times with attendees; preparing and distributing training aids such as handouts; and performing other related tasks.
- Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
- Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Background & Skills
Basic Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability.
- Thorough understanding of training processes.
- Ability to moderate large groups.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related area.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in related field highly desired.
