Job Description

This position is focus on continuous improvement, management of vendor contract implementation, supplier consolidation and cost saving, indirect procurement process optimization etc.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Process alignment and continuous improvement focus
  1. Close cooperation with global process & efficiency team and responsible for securing alignment and continuous improvement on the P2P process for indirect materials and services.
  2. Process Owner of China indirect procurement, develop & optimize relevant polices & processes with regional adaption based on guidebook.
  3. Provide process training and general support to GS-IP team and relative stakeholders securing execution.
  • Vendor management & Supplier Development
  1. Close cooperation with category manager on supplier selection, evaluation and consolidation.  Establish close cooperation with suppliers, work with continuous supplier performance improvement.
  2. Support category manager to run SRM in BRM and OMM, follow-up corrective action with critical suppliers to ensure service and delivery. 
  3. Manage vendor master data and clean-up errors with regular updates
  4. Act as 1.level escalation point for operational issues
  5. Manage (approve/evaluate/phase out) TSV and prototype vendor to ensure compliance of new supplier set up.
  • Supplier complexity reduction
  1. Keep suppliers update on business needs, work in joint effort with category manager for complexity reduction (vendor consolidation)
  • CIP project management
  1. Lead local continuous improvement projects, lead or participate in global projects with the other vendor managers or colleagues.
  • Saving project
  1. Lead assigned procurement projects and contributed cost saving by effective negotiation.
  • Cooperation with CM
  1. Secure ongoing dialog with category manager.
  2. Bridge between category team and operation team, make sure category strategy & supplier portfolio be active in operation, and provides input from local business to CM.
  • Lead One ERP & MyShop go live
  1. Lead Myshop go live alonging with ONE ERP, be responsible for change management, internal & external training/communication, problem solving for myshop process as contact window
  • Build-up & lead VM team
  1. Strengthen & lead vendor management team and practice in same way.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • 6 - 10 years' related working experience and bachelor's degree is required.
  • Personal skills and open-mind are very important -independent person who can lead the project, cooperate with different stakeholders, suppliers and solve problems.
  • SAP and BW is mandatory.
