The job will be mainly on-site and based on hands-on and direct involvement on the shop floor in our Nuremberg location, Germany. Nevertheless, we encourage to have the best possible work life balance meaning that we are open for flexibility when the business activities allow it.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will have full end-to-end responsibility for availability and performance for the automotive manufacturing set up with around 10-15 highly skilled experts ensuring that machining and assembly lines are always operational.

 

Furthermore, your tasks will include:

  • You will drive processes that will maximize safety, quality, delivery, and costs (SQDC) as well as spark engagement throughout all involved organizational levels.
  • You lead the implementation of our manufacturing excellence strategy to meet and exceed internal and external customer expectations.
  • You will act as a role model to your teams and encourage a growth mindset and a “can do“ attitude.
  • Budget responsibility and accountability for all costs related to Maintenance (variable costs, fixed production costs and CAPEX) supporting business objectives and profitable growth.
  • Spare parts management and classification.
  • Ensure proper policies and procedures are followed, such as IATF, ISO 9001f, and the Semikron Danfoss Business System (DBS).
  • Developing, monitoring, and reporting of relevant KPI’s.

Background & Skills

For this role, you have an education or degree in manufacturing or engineering combined with a proven track record and thorough understanding of manufacturing operations including demand planning, forecasting, operational efficiency.

 

Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Experience in team development, people development and process development as well as change management expertise.
  • Lean transformation expertise and strong operational background to create manufacturing of the future.
  • Good German and proficient English language skills to lead the local team as well as contribute to the global organization. 
  • Significant experience in working with cross functional operations teams.
  • Proactive personality with experience in complex teams and matrix organizations.
