Terms and use

1. Danfoss Job Portal is an online platform where candidates and job applicants can search, create profiles and apply for jobs at Danfoss and communicate with Danfoss in this respect.

2. Danfoss Job Portal is made available by Danfoss A/S (hereafter called Danfoss) on behalf of itself, and its affiliates. Please read these Danfoss Job Portal Terms of Use (the “Danfoss Job Portal Terms”) carefully before using the Danfoss Job Portal. By using the Danfoss Job Portal Site you signify your consent to these Danfoss Job Portal Terms. If you do not agree to these Danfoss Job Portal Terms, please do not use Danfoss Job Portal. Danfoss reserves the right to make any modifications to these Terms of Use, the Danfoss Privacy Policy, or any other special terms, which it deems necessary and useful. You will be informed of the new Terms of Use etc. by any means specified by Danfoss that allows you to read and accept the terms.

3. Danfoss respects your concerns about the privacy of the personal data you provide to us. Please read the section on Personal Data and our Privacy Policy.

4. Access is granted to you personally based on your registration profile. You may only use your access to Danfoss Job Portal for recruitment purposes. To create a profile you must be 16 years of age or older.You may extract reports or evidence of your completed registrations, applications or status at any time for your personal use.

5. You are responsible for the proper use of Danfoss Job Portal and the private nature of your personal data. You must ensure that your access to Danfoss Job Portal takes place on an authorized basis, and that the password is only used for the purpose intended.  You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the information you hold for your profile, including your password, and for any and all activity that occurs under your account as a result of your failing to keep this information secure and confidential. You agree to notify Danfoss immediately of any unauthorized use of your profile or password, or any other breach of security.

6. Danfoss reserves the right at its discretion to terminate or suspend your use or access to Danfoss Job Portal if Danfoss determines that you have violated these Terms.

Personal data

7. By your registration and use of Danfoss Recruitment– you provide your personal data to Danfoss A/S, Nordborgvej 81, DK-6430 Nordborg, Denmark, being the parent company of the Danfoss Group. Danfoss A/S is the Data Controller for the processing of personal data in respect of Danfoss Recruitment.

In this regard, Danfoss may process your personal data of the following data categories

Contact data (e.g. name, email address, phone number)

Digital footprints (e.g. cookies, IP address)

Education and CV

Employment information (e.g. name of employer, position, title)

Other IDs (e.g. username, password)

to administer your account, to maintain and improve Danfoss Recruitment, to conduct the application process for jobs and positions, and for other marketing activities directed at you in relation to Danfoss recruitment. In addition, Danfoss may process other types of personal data provided by the individual applicants in various free text fields on a voluntary basis.

8. Danfoss may contact you by way of e-mail, text message, telephone or mail with respect to above purpose.

9. The processing of the personal data is lawful because it is either (i) necessary for the performance of a contract or prior to entering into a contract and/or (ii) necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interest pursued by Danfoss which is not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights of privacy and freedom and/or occasionally and depending on the position (iii) based on your consent (see also 14.)

10. Your personal data will be shared and processed by the Danfoss employees responsible for the recruitment process, who may be placed globally within Danfoss. In most cases this includes HR-personnel and the hiring manager. Depending on the particular job position additional Danfoss employees may be included.

In order to obtain the best qualified applicants, we work with various recruitment bureaus or other consultancy bureaus, which may assist us in our evaluation of your application as well as help us with the execution and review of personality tests, etc. In these cases data processing occurs on basis of data processing agreements between Danfoss and third parties.

If the job position requires you to complete personality tests or similar, you will be informed hereof when we have processed your application. The results of such tests will be treated confidentially but will be included in our evaluation of your application.

11. Your personal data may be processed for conducting background checks. We will not contact any of your current or past employers unless you expressly consent to us directly. If you apply for a job of a particular entrusted position (such as but not limited to finance with access to funds), Danfoss may require a written statement from authorities about your criminal standing, and/or your personal data may be used for a credit review of you and be processed by third party credit agency on behalf of Danfoss, but only when consented to by you and where permitted by applicable law.

12. If you are offered a position with Danfoss, your application and additional personal data obtained during the recruitment process will become part of your employee file. You will receive separate information regarding the employee file and our processing of your personal data in this respect as part of the Danfoss on-boarding procedure.

If you are not offered a job, we will store your application and any additional personal data obtained during the recruitment process for a period of:

12 months for any person or 

36 months for any US citizen applying for a job in USA

following our rejection.

14. The material and content presented by Danfoss on the Danfoss Job Portal contains proprietary information which is owned by Danfoss and protected by applicable intellectual property rights. You shall have no rights to the Danfoss Job Portal, its content or any proprietary software and related documentation, or any enhancements or modifications thereto, which may be provided to you in order to access the Danfoss Job Portal. You may not sublicense, assign or transfer any licenses granted by Danfoss, and any attempt at such sublicense, assignment or transfer shall be null and void. You may not otherwise copy, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from such content or software.

The material and content is provided for recruitment purposes only. Danfoss make reservations for any errors or missing material or content and retain the right to update material and content at any time.

15. You accept that Danfoss may from time to time and without notice modify Danfoss Job Portal. Danfoss may also at any time stop the use, shut down or otherwise disable Danfoss Job Portal for any reason and without any liability for Danfoss. Danfoss will seek to make notifications to users regarding such information prior to it taking place. Information may be made only on the Danfoss Job Portal Site.

16. Creation of profile and your use of the Danfoss Job Portal is free, to the exclusion of access costs (namely internet subscription), which are fully payable by you.

17. Danfoss does not warrant that the Danfoss Job Portal is error-free, or its use will be uninterrupted. Danfoss expressly disclaims all warranties related to the above-mentioned subject matter, including, without limitation, those of accuracy, condition, merchantability and fitness for particular purpose.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, in no event shall Danfoss be liable for any loss of income, loss of profits, revenues, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or other similar damages arising out of or in connection with the Danfoss Job Portal.


Because some jurisdictions prohibit the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential and or incidental damages, the above limitation may not apply to you. Furthermore, Danfoss does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of information of links or other items contained within the Danfoss Job Portal that have been provided by third parties.

18. You agree that these Danfoss Job Portal Terms and your use of the Danfoss Job Portal are governed by the laws of Denmark. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts, tribunals, agencies and other dispute resolution organizations in Denmark in all disputes (a) arising out of, relating to, or concerning the Danfoss Job Portal and the Terms. Danfoss has endeavored to comply with all legal requirements known to it in creating and maintaining the Danfoss Job Portal, but makes no representation that the Danfoss Job Portal are appropriate or available for use in any particular jurisdiction. You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws. Any use in contravention of this provision or any provision of these Terms is at your own risk and, if any part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of these Terms shall govern such use.
