Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Functional Safety Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen our team at our location in Nuremberg, Munich, Hamburg or Flensburg.

Job Responsibilities

  • Functional Safety Management tasks according to ISO 26262
  • Implementation and coordination of Functional Safety workflow tailoring, process analyses and optimizations, impact analyses, and reviews
  • Evaluation of ISO 26262 compliant safety concepts and architectures for automotive electric drives
  • Support of experts at all levels of system engineering and testing concerning functional safety aspects
  • Creation of process and methods definitions of functional safety
  • Development of measures for the continuous improvement of the safety culture, e.g. by creating guidelines and conducting training courses
  • Driving the Functional Safety approach across organizational boundaries and with senior management

  • Empathic personality with clear goals and entrepreneurial mindset having the ability to communicate with people of all levels and cross-borders
  • Servant expert with strong people motivation and organization skills
  • Ability to deal with conflicts and contradictions
  • Act as a recognized functional safety mentor continuously striving for functional safety excellence in the product development

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the automotive industry, ideally in the development of electric drive systems
  • In depth experience in product development according to ASPICE and ISO26262
  • Additionally basic knowledge of the safety standards IEC/EN 61508 and EN ISO 13849 preferred
  • Proven experience in creation of functional safety compliant organization structures 
  • Applied methodological knowledge from quality management according to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949, e.g. APQP or FMEA moderation desirable
  • Experience in working with globally distributed teams
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills, Basic German language skills desirable

 
Education

  • Degree in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics, safety engineering or comparable qualification
  • Certified knowledge in the field of functional safety according to ISO 26262
