Job Description
Danfoss is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Utica, NY facility. The Maintenance Technician provides support to Production Operations in repairing and maintaining production equipment throughout the Plant. The hours for the position are Monday to Friday 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.

Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems to the faulty component under the instruction of the Production Maintenance Engineer.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using multi-meter and other test equipment under the instruction of the Production Maintenance Engineer.
- Analyze machine error messages and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Troubleshoot and repair the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of production equipment, including but not limited to: PLCs, DC drivers, AC invertors, and VFD’s.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Repair and maintain Quality Control Systems such as Visual recognition, QR scanners, Ultrasonic, and X-ray inspection systems under the instruction of the Production Maintenance Engineer.
- Performs basic maintenance duties and repairs as assigned
- Complete all required reporting and documentation
- Able to perform shift work on a 8.5-hour shift schedule, including working in a cleanroom environment per semi-conductor industry and Danfoss Silicon Power protocol/requirements

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
- 2 years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical or electronic systems a plus
- Ability to read and interpret electronic/ hydraulic drawings, schematics, and engineering blueprints to determine problem root causes and implement corrective actions a plus but not required.
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Levels, and Lasers a plus.
- Physically capable of prolonged standing and working in awkward positions while performing maintenance
- Available to work overtime including weekends and evenings.
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
- Prior clean room experience a plus
Preferred qualifications
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of advanced processing and process equipment specifically around troubleshooting electrical components.
- Able to operate computer and system interface programs to ensure appropriate computing and analysis of production information
- Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring a high level of attention to detail and timeliness
- Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, train new team members as needed and other duties as assigned; able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize activities
- Proficiency with software applications, Microsoft Office, Excel as well as specific programs of SAP, Maximo, Adicom; able to create reports and document procedures
Compensation Data
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $26.50+ per hour. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
