Danfoss in Utica has an opening for a Production Support Technician. This position will work closely with engineers to support plant needs. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Provide line support for the production line and is the next level of escalation after the Team Coordinator for manufacturing issues related to maintenance and process quality
  • Works closely with the Process Engineer and Maintenance Engineers to respond to machine alarm errors, malfunctions, and stoppages .
  • Works closely with manufacturing engineers to resolve process issues that impede production. 
  • The position will interact with a Team Coordinator which is the subject matter expert on the assembly line
  • Highly motivated, self-driven and well-organized with hands-on mentality
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with flexible mind-set
  • Driven by innovation and motivated to a drive improvements and change
  • Provide troubleshooting and related manufacturing support using advanced quality tools.

  • High School Diploma is required; 2yr technical college degree is preferred

  • Computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) required

  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Team player who can build positive working relationships
  • Previous experience with leading teams and continuous improvement events are preferred, but not required
  • Experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment is preferred

Compensation Data

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $26.50 per hour. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
