Danfoss’ newest business unit – White Drives Motors & Steering is a standalone business that consists of three locations -- Hopkinsville, Kentucky, U.S.; Wroclaw, Poland; and Parchim, Germany. As part of the announced acquisition of Eaton Hydraulics, White Drives Motors & Steering will be divested from Danfoss by the end of 3Q 2021 to ensure all regulatory approvals are met. 

This position is expected to remain with White Drives Motors & Steering. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Danfoss’ plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Danfoss when the transaction closes, the new owner of White Drive Motors & Steering will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Work across engineering functions to improve the quality/cost of existing products and launch new products  
  • Utilize advanced quality tools and lean manufacturing concepts to ensure production departments are equipped with the proper process flow, tooling, equipment and standard work to meet local goals.  
  • Execute strategic planning development with coordination, monitoring and timely reporting on the status of the project.
  • Support operations in the fabrication, assembly and testing of hydraulic motors.  
  • Troubleshoot and improve fabrication, assembly and test processes.
  • Identify and implement projects to support continuous improvement initiatives while providing LEAN training and leadership.
  • Support and promote the Root Cause Problem Solving process, facilitate and guide MIFA/Value Stream Analysis and Kaizen activities.
  • Develop new processes and documentation to improve capacities and productivity, provide Manufacturing Engineering plans, schedules, and execution of projects, support safety, quality, delivery, cost, and labor targets by implementing process improvements.
  • Provide assistance to Maintenance in trouble shooting problems with manufacturing equipment and provide floor support for operations to maintain quality levels.  
     

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:
●    Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering 
●    2+ years of experience in the manufacturing engineering field including PLC (AB, Siemens)
●    Fabrication, assembly, and testing of hydraulic components is a plus
