Danfoss is seeking to hire an experienced Account Manager who will be responsible for managing and growing the relationship with the largest customer in the Commercial Vehicle Market and Specialty Business Unit (BU) within the Fluid Conveyance Division. The Account Manager drives revenue growth through strategic account management and new business development. This is an onsite position at our Ames, IA location.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Protects existing business by minimizing attrition and identifying expansion opportunities
- Drives revenue growth through strategic account management and new business development
- Negotiates contracts, pricing, and terms to maintain healthy margins while meeting customer needs
- Acts as the voice of the customer within Danfoss, ensuring customer needs are met efficiently; serves as the voice of Danfoss to the customer, effectively communicating capabilities, updates, and solutions
- Collaborates with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to resolve customer issues proactively;
- Oversees all aspects of the order-to-delivery process, ensuring on-time and accurate shipments; manages customer scorecards, ensuring Danfoss maintains high ratings in delivery, quality, and responsiveness; monitors and addresses quality concerns, working cross-functionally to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
- Fosters long-term partnerships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers; develops account strategies to align Danfoss' solutions with the customer’s evolving needs
- Regularly meets with customers, conducts business reviews, and identifies growth opportunities. 10% international/domestic travel.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years experience in SAP and BIW
- 4 years experience in project and program management with major OEM clients
- 4 years experience in the highway sector with clients facing labor issues
- 2 years experience in product application to OEM requirements
- 2 years experience in quoting and pricing analysis and cost reduction
