Inventory Control Team Leader (On-Site)

Job Description
The Inventory Control Team Leader is responsible for team performance in areas of inventory control and strategy, team building, and employee engagement. This Team Leader will also work closely with our accounting and finance team to ensure our internal cycle count procedures are robust and adhered to.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
• Use data and other inputs to identify, prioritize, and deliver on key business needs related to inventory control and accuracy
• Establish/execute a strong proactive cycle count program for both internal and external warehouse locations
• Be responsible for the root cause investigations for inventory loss and work collectively with key stakeholders to drive improvement
• Work collaboratively with finance to manage monthly/quarterly excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory analysis and disposition
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders analyze the plants Safety Stock reset on a quarterly basis
• Responsible for inventory level strategies related to vendor managed inventory and reorder point parts for the site
• Manage the internal warehouse strategy and plan for every part (PFEP) line set-ups
• Analyze and root cause material movement transaction errors and work collectively with Material Handling to drive improvement
• Foster a continuous improvement culture
• Provide development coaching and guidance to team in the areas of performance management, communication, and adhering to company policies
• Manage labor through OT approval and timecard management
• Accountable for team training compliance and guidance to team members, while ensuring a proper tracking of competencies
• May participate in internal audits
Background & Skills
Required Qualifications
• Strong leadership skills such as flexibility, dependability, and independence are essential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) required
• Previous experience with materials/inventory accuracy
• Strong decision-making skills
• Team player who can build positive working relationships – across all departments
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Previous experience directly leading others and/or continuous improvement events
