As a Senior System Application Engineer, you are the primary technical representative to the customer for Danfoss Power Solutions. Taking ownership on providing technical assistance to the customer, you will contribute to developing engineering solutions, making a sustainable difference to people's lives around the globe.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing strong mobile machine expertise through research, testing and analyzing agricultural, construction, material handling, turf and specialty machines.
- Working with the technical sales team to evaluate customer specifications, contributing to technical proposals that lead to new business, responding to technical requests, managing customer projects, providing technical training, evaluating product applications and documenting these activities.
- Selecting and specifying DPS products, with a specific emphasis on ensuring conformance to component application requirements and machine performance expectations.
- Designing system control architecture, logic, and parameters to meet safety, performance, and life requirements.
- Researching, developing, analyzing and testing alternate machine system designs for feasibility, cost, operation, and performance in the mobile machine market.
- Investigating machine problems or component failures and recommending remedial actions, system design changes or alternate components or features.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) preferred in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Agricultural Engineering.
- 5 or more years of relevant experience -OR- candidates with B.S. degree and applicable internship experience will be considered
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink and/or other simulation modeling software
- Machine testing experience and ability to troubleshoot
- Technical writing skills/experience preferred
- Indirect leadership skills to organize multiple OEM customer projects as a technical expert
