The Impact You'll Make
Are you passionate about building and testing the complex machines that feed and build our world? This is your chance to get out of the classroom and into the lab, working on the real hydraulic, electrical, and software systems for next-generation agricultural and construction vehicles.
As an Engineering Intern on our Solutions Engineering team, you will be a hands-on contributor from day one. You won’t just be running simulations; you will be designing, assembling, and troubleshooting actual prototype systems as part of a high-performing, global team.
This is more than just a temporary role; it’s a launchpad for your career. You will gain invaluable real-world experience in a fast-paced environment, with the potential for future growth opportunities at Danfoss after you graduate.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Get hands-on experience designing, building, and testing the complex multi-domain systems (hydraulic, electrical, and software) that power modern off-highway vehicles.
- Use your engineering skills to troubleshoot real-world problems on prototype systems, both at the component level and on test vehicles.
- Develop software and control programs for the embedded systems that control our advanced hydraulic components.
- Analyze test data, document your findings, and present your conclusions to help our lead engineers make critical design decisions.
- Collaborate with a global team of experts across manufacturing, sales, and supply chain to help bring innovative new designs to life.
What We're Looking For
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Agricultural Engineering (or a related field).
- You have completed at least 60 credit hours of college coursework.
- A strong hands-on aptitude and a passion for working on complex machinery like cars, farm equipment, or construction vehicles.
- A proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with engineering software like MATLAB/Simulink or 3D CAD is a plus.
- You can start work in spring 2027; other start dates may be available.
What You'll Get from Us
- We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
- You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
- We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
