Job Description

Danfoss Group IT is looking for a backend developer, who also has experience within the areas of containerization and infrastructure as code, that can help us build great web products. 

You will be part of the international Digital Customer Experience team, which includes more than 100 colleagues from all over the world. We develop, support, and lead the digital customer experience at Danfoss, connecting business needs and IT to create digital solutions. 

From phone calls to India, conference calls to European countries, chats with people in US, and emails from Brazil – you will join our international team spread across the globe. In short, we ensure operational excellence, and together, we have created a team with a great atmosphere where diversity is what we have in common and what makes us all feel welcome.

You would work on location out of our Monterrey offices, with the option of working from home a couple of days per week if desired.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Develop new and support existing web applications and APIs.
  • Diagnosing problems, inefficiencies, and weaknesses and working to improve them.
  • Help secure and improve our infrastructure as code setup, thinking optimization, automation, security, stability, and performance.
  • Writing great code together with the rest of the team – we emphasize collaboration via coding together, code review, and documentation.

Exciting projects you will also be working on:

  • Cooperating with your team members on the transition towards Composable Architecture, enabling DCE to become a professional supplier of digital services to internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Co-working with your internal and external team members on a project based on a recent large company acquisition that is setting new standards within the company (API first approach, composable architecture)

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • In-depth knowledge of modern Typescript, .NET Core, C#, and writing testable, maintainable code.
  • Experience with testing and test automation (unit, integration, e2e).
  • OpenAPI, REST, and GraphQL.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud, DevOps, and CI/CD/CT pipelines.
  • Prior experience using Pulumi.
  • NodeJS, Kubernetes, Containerization, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
  • Automated deployments (to PaaS infrastructure and IaaS) .
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a backend developer within the web application area.
