Job Description
Purpose of Job:
As an Inbound Planner, Student at Danfoss, you will support the management of direct material deliveries to factories, ensuring timely deliveries and fostering strong supplier collaborations within the Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Controls division.
Success Criteria (Optional):
- Achieve target availability by managing inventory levels.
- Meet Days of Inventory/Lead Time targets for efficient supply chain operations.
- Ensure SLAs with selected vendors.
- Contribute to supplier and category development.
- Work independently and as a collaborative team player.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Forecast Handling:
- Utilize forecasting tools for capacity management and material planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop communication and action plans.

Material Ordering:
- Support raw material order placements based on demand projections.
- Track and update orders, coordinating between planning and inbound logistics.

Master Data:
- Maintain and update relevant fields in the master data system.

SLA:
- Participate in preparing logistics inputs for SLA negotiations.

Other Tasks:
- Perform duties as delegated by the direct manager.
Processes & Tools Handled in the Job:
- SAP: Used for all business processes and transactions (ERP system).
- Outlook/Lync/WebEx: For internal and external communication.
- SCOR Model/QMS: Guides inbound logistics processes.
- SNC/EDI: Updates order confirmations with suppliers.
- Intranet: Manages internal documents.
- Internet: Accesses essential company information.
- Excel Tools: For zoning, forecasting, and safety stock management.
- Communication Package for Intern: Includes laptop, mobile phone, and home connection.

Education:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must have more than one year remaining before graduation.
- Basic understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus.
