Job Description

Working as a Laboratory Technician at Danfoss Cooling, working on Laboratory and prototypes’ activities (tests, porotypes’ assemblies, calibration/maintenance of equipment, and technical guidance…) in accordance with established standards to support all Manifolding scroll and Condensing Unites activities linked to projects.

 

Required Knowledge and Skills
•    Will report to Lab supervisro (based in Monterrey – Mexico).
•    Execute all Prototypes and laboratory’s activities (Assembly of prototypes and execution of tests) to support all Manifolding Scroll and Condensing Units activities with the expected Quality of execution.
•    Training for laboratory equipment.
•    Deliver tests according to the Engineering projects/activities’ expectations
•    Monitor and refine existing processes to minimize waste and promote profitability.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies and certifying agency requirements.
•    Monitor, maintain, and repair all laboratory equipment.
•    Monitor and report usage of chemicals in compliance with government regulation.
•    Maintain adequate inventory of materials and supplies for laboratory equipment maintenance which is not included in the plant supply system.
•    Conduct calibration for all laboratory test equipment.
Working with quality system based on ISO17025.
•    Ensure lab processes and operation are within the requirements of UL to maintain the DAP certification (if applicable).
•    Identify and work with suppliers to supply any needed components/consumables useful to run activities in the lab (eg: refrigerant…)
•    Follow up the refrigerant usage.

 

Your Education and Experience
Minimum Requirements
•    Multiple years’ experience in a similar role/field.
•    Thermodynamic and refrigeration knowledge to develop new and maintain existing lab test equipment.
•    Electrical Knowledge to troubleshoots circuits in new and existing lab test equipment.
•    Certification (or extensive experience) in electrical and brazing, welding.
•    Software and system used request, report, and complete calculations of all tests for all lab equipment (eg DBLab)
•    Be able to deal with a high-pressure environment


Desired requirements (optional)
•    Experience working in related HVAC/Refrigeration field
•    Knowledge of Assemblies and vibration principles in copper tubing.
•    Knowledge of materials standards, norms requirements
