Job Description

Danfoss is seeking a Product Engineer to join our team. You will work in a team-oriented environment and will have exposure to many different processes and tasks. As Product Engineer you will Develop and maintain overall CC product range (compressors and related accessories / components / services), Perform a variety of engineering assignments applicable to product development, product sustaining, cost reduction, resourcing, product validation extension, technology bricks evolutions.
Mainly adapt existing specifications and designs to match new product and/or process requirements with a limited level of complexity (simple design & process changes).

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Define technical specifications of components
  • Update technical specifications of existing products
  • Conduct execution of design evolutions as needed to match new technical requirements having a limited degree of complexity for :

- adaptation of existing components/product features

 - adoption of new manufacturing processes in the context of sustaining

  cost down activities.

  • Consult other departments to answer any question on equipment, designs, tests, process.
  • Verify that risks are identified and mitigated with appropriate methodologies and tools before releasing designs and prototypes. Carry out risk mitigation process for any new design change being worked out.
  • Define validation plan related to components or modification on existing products, ensure verifications and validations of design changes are compliant with internal design guidelines, ensure compliance to procedures and technical policies.
  • Lead execution of the validation plan following the defined schedule : prototype components supply, compressor assembly in model shop, test execution with the laboratory
  • Organize technical information and documentations to be ready for technical project reviews (Specifications, drawings, DFMEA, Verification & Validation data, quality controls, safety requirements, etc…) and ensure documents follow existing project management processes & templates.
  • Work with CAD designers to define new designs, layouts 3D models as needed per technical requirements. Guarantees Tolerance & Dimensioning standards applied are consistent with engineering requirements.
  • Use CAD tools to evaluate and check designs (Creo , stackups sheets, balancing sheets, etc…)
  • Bring any uncertainty observed on critical design items to the attention of right management level

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering or related)
  • 5 Years Experience in Product Design role
  • Fluent English
  • Technical Skills for Design
  • CREO, AUTOCAD, SOLIDWORKS experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry(HVAC Desirable)
  • Communication Skills
  • Teamwork
