The Impact You'll Make
You will play a critical role in ensuring that purchased materials and components consistently meet our quality, technical, and operational requirements. By working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you will help protect our scroll compressor operations from supplier-related quality risks and disruptions.
In this role, your work will directly impact product quality, production continuity, cost, and customer satisfaction. You’ll lead supplier qualification, audits, PPAP approvals, corrective actions, and performance improvement activities, turning supplier issues into opportunities for prevention and continuous improvement.
Just as importantly, you’ll strengthen collaboration between suppliers, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, and Quality, promoting a culture of accountability, structured problem solving, and long-term supplier development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinate supplier PPAP/SPPAP submissions and approvals.
- Review and approve PSW, PFMEA, Control Plans, dimensional reports, capability studies, and material certifications.
- Maintain supplier quality documentation in SAP.
- Evaluate supplier nonconformities and issue claims, including 3D or 8D requirements.
- Verify containment and corrective action effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6–7 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or a related role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA) and structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
