Job Description

Danfoss is looking for an experienced manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. You will be expected to excel in a fast pace, growing company and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement. You will need to have outstanding interpersonal communication skills to deal with customers, co-workers and suppliers.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
  • Lead the APQP and PPAP processes to assure product and supplier readiness.
  • Lead the process to qualify new suppliers prior to sourcing: supplier eligibility and quality risk assessments, compliance to IATF-16949 (quality management system), traceability, material control, workforce training, etc.
  • Measure supplier quality performance according to established KPI’s to drive appropriate improvements and meet/exceed established targets
  • Utilizes problem solving methodologies to support and work with supplier’s on how to continuously improve their process and product quality
  • Create Inspection Plan by part number considering Key Characteristics, maintain Incoming inspection plan and skip lot plan.
  • Receiving and responding on change requests from suppliers
  • Follow up on the progress of the SPAPP activities related to the supplier Able to conduct Onsite
  • Audit for relevant commodities (stamping, machining, casting, coating/painting)
  • Able to identify gaps/risks related to ESG and/or EHS compliance
  • Other job related activities.

  • Bachelor degree
  • 5 years of experience
  • Typical technical background with experience within manufacturing
  • ISO/ TS Auditor (Certified or Internal auditor at minimum)
