Danfoss is looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer

 

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring suppliers meet the company’s quality standards. This includes evaluating the quality of materials, resolving supply chain issues, and collaborating with suppliers to drive continuous improvements in quality, cost, and lead time..


Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

  • Supplier Evaluation & Audits: Develop and manage supplier evaluation programs, conduct quality audits, and perform risk assessments.

  • Quality Issue Resolution: Identify root causes of quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure proper documentation.

  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track supplier performance through key metrics such as defect rates and on-time delivery.

  • Collaboration: Work with procurement, engineering, and production teams to qualify new suppliers and define technical requirements for products.

  • Quality Standards & Procedures: Establish and enforce quality standards, inspection protocols, and validation processes.

  • Non-conformance Management: Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for supplier non-conformities or failures.

  • Audit & Data Review: Perform on-site supplier audits and review inspection/test reports to ensure compliance and address issues promptly.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive supplier improvements using tools like Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, and SPC.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in Supplier Quality Engineering or a related role.
  • Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ASTM, IEC, and similar quality standards.
  • Quality Tools: Experience with FMEA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, 8D, and other quality methodologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to interact with internal teams and suppliers effectively.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiar with quality management tools (e.g., Minitab, SAP, Excel).
  • Experience working in industries such as automotive, electronics, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • English language is mandatory, especially for international supplier relations
