Job Description

We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our organization at our Monterrey, México location

The warehouse manager is responsible for delivering logistics services within the areas of warehousing from manufacturing campus and distribution centre to our customers and the other distribution centres or factories of the group. The individual is a strong leader who is adept at driving change and achieving results within a dynamic business environment. This position interacts with internal and external business partners which requires excellent communication skills

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Continuosly improve high standard of safety in logistics operations
  • Responsible for compliance, quality, integrity and alignment of procedures and internal controls in all the warehouses
  • Monitor, further develop and optimize logistics processes including inventory control
  • Develop cost - effective solutions to increase efficiency in storage systems and inventory control. Secure warehousing capacity
  • Analyze and optimize existing and new logistics related SAP processes and functions.
  • Owner of the 3PL Warehousing Operations, responsible to secure quality and service from the supplier at all moment. In charge of Phase in/out projects and Danfoss representative towards the 3PL
  • Develop and implement standard operation procedures and lean material handling process to ensure optimal and cost - effective operations always aligned with Lean mindset
  • Prepare a yearly perspective and ensure transparency in the project follow up. Make sure that projects are integrated locally and agreed with main stakeholders - and that they are delivered on time/budget
  • Define and agree SLA per Business Unit. Ensure that monthly/quarterly meetings are carried out and that the needed preparation/ follow - up is done ( ppt, MoM, action plan, etc. ) - all documents to be available on the intranet
  • Develop and implementation of KPIs, dashboards and other performance metrics. Secure that performance is reported from all sites according to the SLA´s and global Performance metrics systems
  • Manage logistics cost allocation method to the business securing transparency. Secure implementation of Activity Based Charging model in the site. Responsible for Logistics budget process including CAPEX projects

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

  • Bachelor´s Degree ( Master degree preferable)
  • 5 + years of experience in Warehousing and Logistics
  • Prior experience leading and managing teams required
  • 5+ years of experience within a manufacturing business
  • Experience with multinational companies is required
  • High proficiency in SAP, SAP WMS, Excel and Power Point
  • Kaizen Knowledge
  • High proficiency in SAP ( including WMS)
  • Fluent in english
  • Knowledge of productivity and quality concepts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to problem solve with strong analytical skills
  • Proven strong track record of team leadership
  • Flexibility to manage a business that can operate 24/7
  • Ability to prioritize projects, allocate resources and interact with all levels in an organization
  • Strong sense of urgency, detail oriented and ability to drive results
  • Prioritize, handle multiple tasks and work in a fast paced and high - volume environment
