The Impact You'll Make

 
As our Application Engineer (m/f/d), you’ll play a key role in ensuring technically sound, reliable, and customer‑focused drive solutions for our Austrian market.
 
Your impact?
You will make our customers’ applications run smarter and more efficiently by designing, commissioning, and optimizing frequency converter systems, bringing technical expertise directly into their projects and daily operations.
You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, and our customers, taking ownership of technical design, commissioning, and application support, helping us move toward an even more innovative and service‑oriented future.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Take responsibility for the technical design and dimensioning of drive systems, from offer creation to on‑site commissioning
  • Support customers as their primary technical contact for our frequency converter portfolio and complementary solutions
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to drive successful project execution and customer satisfaction
  • Use your expertise in drive technology, automation, and fieldbus communication to test, document, and optimize application‑specific solutions in the lab and at customer sites
  • Deliver internal and external trainings on Danfoss Drives products and prepare target‑group‑specific documentation and training materials

What We're Looking For

 

  • Completed (electro‑)technical education with strong knowledge of electrical drive technology and initial experience in drive system design
  • Experience in industrial plant engineering, control cabinet construction, or automation is a strong advantage
  • Solid knowledge in PLC programming and fieldbus technologies
  • A collaborative mindset with strong self‑motivation, service orientation, and the ability to work effectively within a small team
  • Good command of Microsoft Office and IT tools, plus strong English skills (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel within Austria (approx. 20%)

We offer an attractive salary package for this role, featuring a minimum annual gross salary of 41,000.00 Euro. Final compensation will be based on your qualifications and experience, including an additional annual performance bonus.
