At Danfoss, we're developing innovative hydraulic solutions that help customers improve performance, efficiency, and productivity. As an Associate Engineer within our Hydrostatics business, you'll play an important role in designing and improving hydraulic pump and motor products that support customers around the world.
 
In this role, you'll contribute to the development of new products and engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle. Working with global teams, you'll help transform concepts into robust designs, support product improvements, and ensure engineering excellence through quality, compliance, and continuous improvement practices. Your work will directly impact product performance, reliability, and speed to market while helping drive innovation within the Hydrostatics portfolio.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

As an Associate Engineer, you will support product design, engineering change management, and new product development activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using UG NX and/or Pro/E, while maintaining engineering data within TeamCenter or other PLM systems.
  • Support new product development and product improvement projects by developing concepts, performing stack-up analysis, and converting ideas into detailed designs.
  • Manage engineering changes from initiation through release, ensuring compliance with established standards, processes, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct assembly-level layout analysis, identify design risks, and provide recommendations that improve product quality, manufacturability, and performance.
  • Apply Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools and methodologies, including DFMEA, Risk Management, P-Diagrams, and DVPR, to support predictable and reliable product development.
You'll also collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to resolve technical issues and ensure designs meet both Danfoss and customer expectations.

What We're Looking For

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in product design, engineering change management, or related engineering roles.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD tools such as UG NX and/or Pro/E (Creo).
  • Experience working with TeamCenter, Enovia, or similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and practices, including GD&T, stack-up analysis, and ASME/ISO standards.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with hydraulic products, particularly piston pumps and motors, will be considered an advantage.
Knowledge of new product development methodologies and exposure to Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools and practices would also be beneficial.
