The Impact You'll Make

 

Leads shift execution in the assigned production, warehouse, Quad, Flex, or support area, including staffing, safety, quality, output, training, escalation, and shift handoff for the Utica liquid-cooling manufacturing and distribution site.

This role is the front-line leader responsible for converting the daily plan into safe, quality production or distribution output. The Supervisor supports operators, removes barriers, escalates abnormalities, reinforces standard work, and builds team capability. This is an onsite position and the salary range is 65-96K based on experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead shift start-up, labor assignments, production or warehouse execution, break coverage, changeovers, and shift performance communication.
  • Ensure team members follow safety rules, quality standards, work instructions, standard work, escalation procedures, and transaction requirements.
  • Monitor output, downtime, scrap, rework, labor efficiency, training needs, schedule attainment, pick/pack accuracy, or material availability as applicable.
  • Escalate material shortages, equipment issues, quality concerns, staffing gaps, engineering needs, safety risks, and customer-impacting delays.
  • Coach employees, support training, address performance concerns, recognize good performance, and maintain shift handoff documentation.
  • Conduct daily tier meetings, review visual boards, update action items, communicate priorities, and verify completion of assigned countermeasures.
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, traceability, nonconforming material segregation, cleanliness, packaging protection, and lot control in the assigned area.
  • Support containment, sorting, rework, recovery plans, overtime plans, schedule changes, and customer expedite priorities as directed.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, EHS, and CI to resolve issues and prevent repeat problems.
  • Maintain 5S, housekeeping, PPE compliance, tool control, material presentation, and safe work practices in the assigned area.
  • Verify employee training status, cross-training needs, certification requirements, and adherence to standard work.
  • Support kaizen events, standard work updates, process trials, and sustainment audits.

What We're Looking For

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, manufacturing, business, engineering, supply chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent front-line leadership experience may be considered.
  • Experience leading people in manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, quality, logistics, or production support preferred.
  • Experience with standard work, visual management, daily production meetings, safety requirements, and quality expectations preferred.
  • Strong communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and follow-up skills required.

Technical Requirements

  • Working knowledge of production or warehouse processes, standard work, safety requirements, quality checks, labor assignments, shift handoff, and escalation procedures for the assigned area.
  • Ability to monitor hourly output, downtime, scrap, rework, labor efficiency, training status, staffing needs, schedule attainment, and distribution accuracy as applicable.
  • Experience using visual management, 5S, daily production boards, shift communication, and basic problem-solving methods to manage execution.
  • Ability to identify and escalate material shortages, equipment issues, quality concerns, staffing gaps, engineering needs, and safety risks.
  • Ability to coach employees on work instructions, quality expectations, safe work practices, performance standards, and accountability routines.
