The Impact You'll Make

 
As our Bachelorand Systems Engineering (m/f/d), you’ll play a key role in scientifically investigating and validating the electrical back to back operation of two converters.
Your impact? Your work will enable reliable insights into design and operational behavior by systematically analyzing and comparing simulation models, control concepts, and real setups. This will directly support more efficient and future ready power electronic systems.
You’ll collaborate with development and testing teams and take ownership of simulation, setup, and evaluation activities, helping us move toward a more innovative and efficient future.

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Conduct literature research and evaluate different methods to assess advantages, limitations, and operating boundaries
  • Support simulations in Matlab, Simulink, or PLECS to analyze back to back operation using three series inductors
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on control design to optimize bandwidth, feedforward strategies, and performance under non ideal signals
  • Use lab and measurement equipment to build and test a setup with two converters, series inductors, and DC supply
  • Analyze measurement and simulation results to evaluate deviations and create well grounded summaries and outlooks

What We're Looking For

 

  • Ongoing studies in electrical engineering or information technology with strong analytical skills in power electronic systems
  • Experience with Matlab, Simulink, or PLECS, or a strong willingness to learn these tools
  • Ability to work independently as well as in interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
  • A problem solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
