Diversity and Inclusion Manager, North America

Job Description

This regional position is responsible for partnering with Human Resources and business leaders to create and drive diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies for North America (NAM). The D&I Manager will have direct responsibility for D&I learning programs, communications, and D&I metrics and will lead other D&I related initiatives. This role must align with global initiatives but remain agile enough to be relevant to all employees within a complex matrixed organization. Building an inclusive environment will involve developing policies, processes, best practices, and employee education in the disciplines of talent acquisition, human resources, employee relations, leadership development, and coalition building.

Job Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Director of Talent and the NAM Talent team, serve as center of expertise on D&I as it relates to key talent processes such as Recruiting, Succession Planning, Engagement, Retention, Performance Management and Development.
  • Create and implement strategies that increase diversity in our employee and leadership base and enhance inclusion efforts across our North American teams.
  • Deliver D&I workshops utilizing a variety of methods, including classroom and virtual facilitation, recorded webinars, learning management system resources, and via vendor partners.
  • Advise the Regional Management Team, Regional Communications Team, and other business entities on industry best practices in internal and external communication, marketing, public relations, policy creation and adoption, advocacy, and stakeholder management as it pertains to D&I strategies.
  • Work closely with the Global D&I office (headquartered in Europe) to share resources, best practices, and ensure alignment with global initiatives and trainings.
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators that accurately represent our D&I efforts, conduct mandatory legal reporting related to D&I, and provide regular reports to our Regional Management Team.

Background & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, with a concentration in human resources, business administration, psychology, sociology, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous professional experience, with experience in Diversity and Inclusion efforts/projects required.
  • Experience with training and development and/or employee relations strongly desired. Previous experience with learning management systems and/or HR systems preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into organizational development plans.
  • Excellent written, oral and positive influential interpersonal skills required; ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical terms.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
