Danfoss is looking for an energy-efficiency-minded Sales Manager, NAM to manage and develop sales of Electric heating products in the USA and Canada. 

 

You will work with the Export team to generate pipelines and deliver sales targets. This includes developing and maximizing opportunities and building strategic partnerships. Therefore, motivation, tact, sensitivity, and professionalism are prerequisites, as you will have daily contact with customers and will be a direct influence on them. To be successful, the incumbent must drive a clear go-to-market strategy with an inclusive approach and prioritize efforts to maximize business targets while developing long-term opportunities. 

 

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Manager, NAM to join our sales team, located preferably near an airport.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling our electrical products to clients. The Sales Manager will work closely with the business development team to identify client needs and develop customized solutions for all possible Electric heating applications.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Generate leads and identify potential clients through various channels, e.g. Electric heating & Snow-melt solutions in Residential, Commercial, and Light Industrial segments.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients to showcase the features and benefits of electrical heating.
  • Provide post-sales and effective technical assistance and support.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with clients.
  • Track sales performance, analyze sales data, and prepare sales reports for management. 
  • Expect to travel approximately 30-40%. Mainly domestic in the USA but could include international as required.

Background & Skills

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Electric Sales Engineer or related role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical heating products is preferred.

 

 Desired Skills and Attributes:

  • Industry work experience of a minimum 5 years. Proximity to the Electric heating solutions will be an added advantage.
  • Commercial and technical experience working closely with agents, rep companies, electrical engineers, and installers.
